2024 Preview

๐Ÿ“œ Introduction

The main theme of 2024 is profitability. After a year of dipping into savings I need to make and save money. I’d ideally like to do this via projects that relate to KmikeyM, or at least use the skills I’ve developed with KmikeyM. And as part of that I’d like to spend more time with the KmikeyM community.

๐Ÿ“ Projects/Goals

By the end of the year I’d like to look back and have accomplished the following:

  • Make money and build up savings
  • Move forward in some way with the KmikeyM Book
  • Select and implement new features for KmikeyM.com
  • Conduct regular shareholder votes (monthly)
  • Be booked to speak at an event
  • Plan and host the 2024 Shareholder Summit
  • Some travel (TBD)
  • Launch new projects w/ shareholder approval
  • Create content and community projects
  • Maintain a fitness routine
  • Actively learn new skills

๐Ÿ“ก Communication

In 2023 I wanted to create a more regular cadence of updates. That is true for 2024 as well but instead of setting specific number or frequency goals for this I’m going to just try to send more updates about smaller issues. So instead of waiting to send an email until there is a major update, I’ll try to send some emails about the smaller things, as well as continue to update via Slack and some social channels.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Growth

Last year I wanted to push the share price to $8 and didn’t quite get there, but there was a fair amount of volume. This year rather than focus on the share price I’d like to focus on the total number of shareholders.

Current ShareholdersEnd of Year Goal
1,1891,300

This would be about 10 new shareholders per month, which seems like an achievable goal.

I’d also like to implement ways to start making KmikeyM pay for itself, likely via selling merchandise, but maybe services or access as well.

๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ Press

I want to be a guest on more podcasts this year. I did a handful last year and it’s always fun to talk about KmikeyM and being publicly traded with people who approach the idea from wildly different perspectives.

I’m not sure how to get on more podcasts nor am I sure how many would be a good goal. It’s less about the numbers and more about having interesting conversations with people.
