We rate everything. Movies, hotels, podcasts, rideshares, even the quality of our beef. Stars, percentages, letter grades, medals—it’s all an attempt to slap a number or symbol on personal taste. But buried under all this scoring is a bigger question: what’s the best way to rate anything?
